Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections > Internet Options > Advanced, Security, uncheck the box Check for server certificate revocation (requires restart). Also, check Do not save encrypted pages to disk. Reboot Windows and go to Windows Update.

Yo tenia el mismo problema y lo resolvi siguiendo estos pasos:

A mi me ha funcionado:

Try this first :

Go to Internet Options in the Control Panel. Click the Advanced tab.

Scroll down to the Security heading.

Uncheck the box next to " Check for server certificates revocation

(requires restart) "

Click Apply, OK. Restart the system.

Revisit Windows Update to see if the issue is resolved.

If no joy :

1. Stop Automatic Updates and Background Intelligent Transfer Service by:

a.) Click on Start, Settings, then Control Panel

b.) Double click on Administrative Tools and then Services

c.) Locate Automatic Updates in the list of Services and double click on it

d.) Click the STOP button and then click OK

e.) Locate Background Intelligent Transfer Service in the list of

Services and double click on it

f.) Click the STOP button and then click OK

g.) Close all windows back to the Desktop

2. Locate the Software Distribution folder in C:\WINDOWS by:

b.) Double click on Local Disk (C

c.) Double click on the WINDOWS Folder

d.) Click once on the SoftwareDistribution folder

3. Right click on the SoftwareDistribution folder and choose Rename from

the menu list

4. Rename the folder to SoftwareDistribution.old

5. Close all windows back out to your Desktop

6. Start Automatic Updates and Background Intelligent Transfer Service by:

Try to rename C:\WINDOWS\system32\SoftwareDistribution to C:\WINDOWS\system32\SoftwareDistributionOld. In the C:\WindowsUpdate.log you have detail information about what file is couseing the problem.
