This error number 0x8007002 means "ERROR FILE NOT FOUND". That is, the system cannot locate an specified file.

1) Start > Run and type net stop wuauserv

2) Start > Run and type in %windir%\SoftwareDistribution

Browse to DataStore folder and delete its content, not the folder itself.

3) Start > Run and type net start wuauserv

Reboot Windows and go to Windows Update again.
