This error number 0x80070052 means "ERROR CANNOT MAKE". That is, cannot create a directory or file.
This issue may occur if the folder “Program files” is referred as
“H:\Program files” on this registry key (to access to registry editor, Start
> Run and type cmd):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
but our OS is installed on another partition (then “Program files” has assigned
another letter). To try this, click on the key above and see what is the path in the
value ProgramFilesDir.
If it is as stated (I mean, H:) Start > Run and type in %programfiles%\windowsupdate then copy
its content to H:\Program files\Windows Update (if it is H).
