Hola a todos, seguramente no sea de mucha utilidad, pero en mi caso me daba en mismo problema. No tenía ningún antivirus conectado, pero pasaba por un proxy. Creo que este proxy relentizaba mis peticiones. Después de varios intentos, encontre una momento con la red sin demasiada saturación, y conseguí actualizar el equipo sin realizar ningún cambio en el mismo. Votos: +0

tengo problemas con este eror , ya intente todo lo que sugieren en la pag windows update y nada sigue apareciendo el error ,ya desinstale el norton y nada sigue el mismo error , ya hice lo de inicio , ejecutar , cmd aceptar y despues sc queryex wuauserv y depues lo de activar manualmente con net start wuauserv y me dice que este se inicio con exito las actualizaciones automaticas y segui intentadolo y nada ,,, no se que hacer , por favor que alguien me ayude.... he hecho todo lo que he encontrado en internet pero no hay forma de solucionarlo tengo un ordenador hp qure no formate solo restaure sistema con la opcion avanzada de elimnnado todos los archivos del disco y tengo el sp2 cuando lo hago me sale este error cuando esto tenia instalado norton 2006 (una mierda x cierto) despues lo desinstale y probe con todo lo que encontre en internet pero no hay manera no me deja por favor necesito ayuda si alguien sab de como solucionarlo porfavor que lo diga se lo agradecere Votos: +0

He desinstalado el norton, y nunca tuve el nod32, y me genera ese error Votos: +1

you will get this exact same error if the BITS (ie "service de transfert intelligent en arriere plan" ... dunno the english name of this rather useless service) cannot start for some reason. (in my case COM+ services were deactivated)

well i guess we all should end up using a specific hardware profile for windows update with the wuauthing, BITS, COM, eventsystem... services started... wuau and bits are definitely useless the rest of the time.

no comment as to the lame error message microsoft gives as usual.

... but a tiny comment concernig the "you can choose updates manually" or such button...
well I'm pretty damn sure i did click that button, and the silly thing never showed any choice but installed as an update the windows installer 3.1 (which has been installed on my computer -- by myself, manually -- several months ago), after which it prompted for a reboot...

let's just hope the silly thing did not temper with my own services setup and the installer will still work.

btw, i havn't updated yet and the only pendmove i can find trace of is the remove of a temporary file
