This error 0x8007041D means: "ERROR SERVICE REQUEST TIMEOUT". That is, the service did not respond on time.
If we get this error number when accessing to Windows Update or the search for updates is stopped, it is possible that the culprit be NOD32 antivirus software. To work around the issue, we must update this software downloading its latest version at http://www.eset.com/.
Further information: This error is caused by some versions of NOD32, due to an incompatibility which prevents that Windows Update services stops at time. Generally speaking, a 0x8007041D error in Windows update means a timeout error.
