No se ejecutan los archivos con extensión .exe

Navega hasta la clave:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command]

Click derecho sobre "(Predeterminado)" > elige Modificar y elimina el valor que tengas y asígnale "%1" %* (tal y como está, con las comillas y teniendo en cuenta que entre la segunda " y % hay un espacio.
Navega hasta:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe] (¡cuidado! es ".exe")
En la parte derecha al valor (default) asígnale "exefile" (ahora sin comillas). Sal del editor de registro y reinicia.
