Este error significa ERROR OPERATION ABORTED. Es decir, alguna operación en Windows Update ha sido abortada, quizá por algún final inesperado.

Para solucionar el error, puede intentarse lo siguiente: Inicio > Ejecutar y escribir cmd. Ahí escribir estas líneas pulsando Enter al final de cada una:

regsvr32 wuapi.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 wucltui.dll
regsvr32 wups.dll
regsvr32 wuweb.dll
regsvr32 atl.dll

Reiniciar Windows e ir otra vez a Windows Update.

Nota: para registrar las dlls de forma automática puedes descargarte este archivo cmd . Hacer doble click sobre él.

This error means ERROR OPERATION ABORTED. That is, some Windows Update operation has been aborted, perhaps due to an unexpected end.

To work around this issue, go to Start > Run and type in cmd. There, you have tp type in these lines and hit Enter after each end:

Restart Windows and try Windows Update again.
