Start > Run and type in regedit. Browse to the key
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MiÂcrosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
click on it and see if there is a value named noUserNameInStartMenu in the right pane.
If so, remove it or set it to "0". Reboot Windows.
