This error number 0x80072EFD means "ERROR INTERNET CANNOT CONNECT". That is, when attempting to connect to the server, this connection failed.

It is hard to know what is causing this issue. It may be a bad configuration of the Internet connection or the proxy, if we use such a tool. If we use a proxy, we have to customize it according to the error message, as well as changing our trusted sites in our Internet browser (in IE, Tools, Security tab, Trusted sites button, Sites, Add, (uncheck the box Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone) and write the sites one by one.

Hola, uso el firewall iSafer, cuando intente realizar el update, me salio este error, hice lo que aconsejaban, y nada. Pero, luego, detuve el firewall y viola, actualizo bien, en mi caso es un problema de configuracion del fireall [smiley=happy], quizas a alguien más le sirva esto.

y si te dice que no encuentra el archivo cuando ejecutas el proxycfg -d??

1. Inicio > Ejecutar y escribir proxycfg -d y pulsar la tecla "Enter".
2. Posteriormente, escribir net stop wuauserv
3. Localizar en el disco duro la carpeta "WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution" y eliminar todo su contenido (pero no la carpeta).
4. Incio > Ejecutar y escribir net start wuauserv
[smiley=happy]
